Kool & The Gang

Kool & the Gang, formed in 1969 by brothers Ronald and Robert “Kool” Bell, rose to prominence with a unique blend of jazz, soul, and funk. Known for iconic hits like "Celebration," "Cherish," and "Jungle Boogie," they have achieved 25 Top Ten R&B hits, 31 gold and platinum albums, and two Grammy Awards. Their music, featuring powerful horn arrangements and infectious rhythms, has been widely sampled by artists like Jay-Z, Madonna, and Janet Jackson. Despite over 50 years in the industry, Kool & the Gang continues to tour globally, captivating audiences with their timeless sound.

Their legacy is marked by significant milestones, including induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and receiving a BET Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, their smash hit "Celebration" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and in 2021, it entered the Library of Congress National Recording Registry. Kool & the Gang’s latest album, People Just Wanna Have Fun, was released in 2023, and they were nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, further solidifying their status as musical icons.
