Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 8:00 PM
Main Stage

Presented by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra

Get ready for movie night at the symphony! Under the baton of Maestro Christopher Confessore, the BSO performs the soundtrack to the 1931 romantic comedy City Lights* LIVE. A true cinematic masterpiece, this film was written and directed by Charlie Chaplin, who also stars in the film. The silent film will be shown in its entirety on a screen above the orchestra.

FREE popcorn, courtesy of the BSO, will be distributed in the main lobby prior to the performance (while supplies last).

Let’s get festive! Guests are encouraged to dress in their best dapper styles, Old Hollywood Glam, or Steampunk attire.
Message from the Maestro

“November features a screening of Charlie Chaplin's classic silent film City Lights with the score performed LIVE by the BSO. Chaplin himself wrote the music to this film. It is an absolute masterpiece in every way and is widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made (In 2007, the American Film Institute ranked City Lights 11th on its list of the Best American Films Ever Made). This is a Brevard County FIRST to show a full-length feature film with live orchestral accompaniment.” ~Chris Confessore
