Admission and parking is free.

Bluewater Creative Group’s Backstage Pass Boomer Bash & Senior Expo will feature a day of Broadway-themed fun with a private, up-close look at the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts. The event runs 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, and admission and parking are free.

To celebrate Veterans Day, we will launch the festivities with a Veterans Salute.  A live musical tribute to veterans will showcase the Moving Wall, honoring the lives of service men and women who gave their all protecting our great nation.

Unique and fresh attractions will feature an artists’ “Paint Around,” as a number of talented painters producing their art in the open to be auctioned for charity later in the day. A comedy improv act will feature the many faces and voices of performing favorite Mario Busacca. Dueling Baby Grand pianos will have a 10-minute showdown every hour.

Senior Life travel writer John Trieste will showcase the best day-trip destinations with the biggest bang for the buck. A collection of more than 80 columns is available for perusal HERE.

Workshops will simplify the use of Facebook, iPads and other popular gadgets and social media. Sheriff Wayne Ivey will discuss top tips to keep yourself and your property safe. Gourmet cooks from active lifestyle communities will offer tastes of the good life. Full luncheon will be available for purchase hot off the grill, along with a dessert bar.

“We always do something fun and unique, something you could not otherwise do outside of the event, and certainly not for free,” said Jill Gaines, CEO of Bluewater Creative Group, which publishes Senior Life and Viera Voice newspapers, the annual Senior Life Boomer Guide and the Viera Wetlands Birding Guide, and produces a number of signature events throughout the year.

One such event earlier this year showcased the Valiant Air Command’s Warbird Museum at Tico Airport in Titusville with a celebration of all things 1950s.

On February 7, Bluewater’s Senior Safari at Brevard Zoo will celebrate the release of the 2014 Boomer Guide with a health and active lifestyle expo, featuring a Wellness Walkabout. As usual, up-close and personal access to a popular regional venue is totally free.

The doors will open for the Veterans Salute at 8:30 a.m. Veterans are invited to sit in a special reserve section by 8:45 a.m.

Limited sponsorships for the Boomer Bash are still available. For more information, call 321-242-1235.
