"On November 17, 2018, students from all three orchestras in the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra program will join us for a Side-by-Side performance of the final movement of Vaughan Williams's Concerto Grosso - a work written for performers of varying skill levels from beginner to professional. It's the perfect piece for this special occasion - we'll likely have more than 100 string players onstage for this performance! The concert also features two audience favorites. Felix Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto may be the most perfect concerto ever written for the violin. Our soloist is Sirena Huang, Grand Prize Winner of the Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition. The concert closes with the most instantly recognizable symphony ever written - Beethoven's monumental Symphony No. 5!" ~Chris Confessore

The Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform side-by-side with the BSO during Vaughan Williams' March from Concerto Grosso in celebration of the BSYO's 40th Anniversary.

Sirena Huang is the 2017 Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition First Prize Winner.
