We're looking for volunteers to join our team!
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the King Center. If you have a passion for the arts and enjoy working with the public, we have a place for you! Volunteers are needed in several areas including ushering, concessions, special events catering, and administrative assistance.
Our dedicated volunteers assist in the theatre during and after performances serving as ticket scanners, ushers, concessions assistants, merchandise sellers, art gallery assistants, and more. Theatre duties also include handing out programs, escorting patrons to their seats and answering basic questions about the facility. There are also opportunities to participate in various social outings throughout the year.
Prospective volunteers are required to attend a group orientation and on the job training sessions. They must sign up for a minimum of three events per month from October through April. Sign up requirements are adjusted as needed throughout the months of May through September. Snowbirds or summer vacationers are welcomed.
Our next orientation and training session will be held on Monday and Tuesday, September 10 and 11 from 6 to 8 p.m both nights. Both nights are mandatory. You will need an active email address and access to a computer to apply. Signing up to work our shows and events is done online.
